ARCHITEKTONIKA 2007 is a genuine architectural software package that fulfils all needs and requirements of the modern architectural office. It covers all aspects of the design process such as the detailed design and architectural plans, the quantity surveying and land surveying plans, the 3D visualization of the designed model, the real-time walkthrough technology and the manipulation of all surface materials. The software uses actual architectural and structural elements to compose the project simultaneously in 2D and 3D, focusing on realizing the designer’s ideas and elaborating on the way of thinking and expressing. At the same time, due to the holistic intelligent technology ( Holistic Intelligence Technology ©) developed by Pi-Systems all elements are assigned with unique physical properties (dimensions, position, materials etc) which they retain throughout the entire design and editing process. This allows for the automatic dynamic creation of sections and different views while the user is working in the plan view. The land surveying module enables the user to accurately determine the position of the building and identify its interaction with the surrounding environment and ground morphology. The photorealistic visualization and real-time walkthrough is easily and instantly created and viewed in every design phase, using lights, materials, colors and textures and other 3D objects that the user can select from the integrated KINESIS module.

The aim of this software package

The creation of a unique and revolutionary architectural working environment with enhanced design tools, adjusted to, and driven by the way the designer thinks. What is more, this software aims to the rapid and flexible production of architectural plans and 3D visualization of the actual building, which enables the easy inspection and instant modification of the project in all phases. The user friendly interface can be adjusted to the specific requirements and needs of each user. Finally the software offers the minimization of the learning curve through extensive documentation and live support services offered by our company.

General characteristics

- Project management in a user-friendly interface for the proper manipulation of the project files, drawings, the project’s identity data and several details of each project.
- Grouping of the software’s options in an understandable way that complies with the logic of architectural design.
- Each floor or the building can be designed and edited separately. This allows for the automatic calculation slabs and the height of walls, as well as the automatic creation of identical floors with instant adaptation of all structural elements. All elements can be easily created and edited through the use of unique dialogue boxes (DCL).
- Simultaneous 2D and 3D design.
- Language selection (Greek or English) is supported for all menus and messages.

Design in 2D

- Line, Polyline, polygons, 3D surfaces, hatching and color fill.
- Automatic creation of 2D plans.
- Text creation with every available window’s font, text editing, text adaptation to the current drawing scale.

3D design information

- Creation of slabs by using a contour line or by using characteristic points, capability of assigning several different materials, slab heights and slab sections.
- Creation of slab holes and edition of holes independently from slabs.
- Capability to divide a uniform slab into several parts or to unify several slabs to one.
- Capability to edit and alter the contour line and other properties of slabs as well as to instantly copy a ceiling slab to a floor slab and vise versa.
- Smart wall creation that allows the division into different parts in order to satisfy the current space creation and exploitation requirements (e.g. for more accurate quantity surveying). Walls are considered uniform elements and can automatically adjust their height inside slabs, roofs and staircases.
- Automatic formation of all adjacent walls when one of the walls is deliberately deleted.
- Automatic deletion of unnecessary lines in the connection area of walls.
- Creation of walls with adjustable height. (Throughout the whole wall or height difference between the start and end of wall)
- Various wall types such as walls with holes, walls with insulation etc.
- 3D Door and shutter assemblies selection from a big library and fully customizable implementation.
- Integration of canopy in all assemblies’ types.
- The option to use several different layers for door and shutter assemblies enables the user to assign different material in the rendering and walkthrough modules.
- Several options to copy assemblies, multiple selection and edition of its properties and automatic correction of walls when we delete an existing door or window.
- Capability to insert fully customizable structural elements (columns and beams). Automatic integration of the elements in the floor height or selection of free height.
- Capability to create staircases of all possible types and shapes from several different construction materials (concrete, steel, wood) and definition of the section line.
- Option to define and edit the minimum step wedge and fully customize all the geometric properties of the staircase (width, height, type, railings, definition line) not only during the design phase of the staircase but also after it is already designed.
- Option to create isoclinic, lean-to and gabled roofs. Every side of the roofs can be edited separately for different inclination or for the creation of gablet
- Correction of the contour line of the roof as well as all the roof’s properties.
- Fully customizable creation of several types of railings with simultaneous 3D visualization and easy edition of its properties even after the railing has been designed.
- Fully customizable creation of 3D closets.
- Creation and full editing of ramps.
- Integrated libraries with several 3D and 2D objects and options for user-defined objects that can be used in all projects

Modification – editing

- Smart modifications and automatic adaptation of elements due to the Holistic Intelligence Technology that allows for the logical recognition and manipulation of the drawing’s elements

Visualization options

The building can be displayed in every possible view and angle: Views, plan view, 3D view, automatic creation of the rendered model by combining all floors together. Real-time production of 3D sections defined by a random or curved line.
- Instant Walkthrough creation for the whole building or even for 3D sections with the use of the integrated Kinesis module.
